I was initially brought on to redesign the classic Street Needle box as the brand transitioned into the cartridge tattoo needle market. Previously, they had launched their own brand, Enso, but this new direction called for a unified, elevated visual identity.
I led the design of the new Street Needle packaging with a focus on creating a more sustainable and tactile experience—introducing recycled paper materials that gave the boxes a refined, environmentally conscious look and feel. This became the brand’s first step toward a paper-based packaging approach.
Following the success of the box and blister packaging design (protective sterile wraps for individual needles), my role naturally expanded. I took on a comprehensive rebrand of the shop, including the development of their visual identity across social media, convention banners, print materials, advertisements, and even a publication about tattoo needles.
This project remains one of the most rewarding of my career—seeing my work in nearly every professional tattoo shop across Sweden, and knowing that the packaging I designed plays a small part in nearly every tattoo created with East Street needles today.
